An introduction to your narrator through this creative site.
Born and brought up in Delhi, studied at South Campus, educated in England with work that resolves around Goa, I realise sometimes the only way to truly see a place is to leave it for a while.
The same with life. Taking a step back allows you to gain perspective on your life. The creation of art, the experience of making it, allows that space so that we can return to life, rejuvenated. We need the right brain and the left brain. That is what this space is all about. A place of refuge and rest from the building blocks and concrete matter of the capitalist world, so that when we return, we are fresh, have new ideas, a positive mindset plus having processed any emotional turmoil from different stages of life. A fuller human being with more value to offer.
“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” – Albert Einstein
The site is divided into three broad areas: travel, lifestyle and the actual making of stuff.
I come from the starting point of having zero formal experience in being creative in most of the stuff on this site like travelling alone, cooking, photography and so on. And consistency is key if you're looking to improve and be willing to suck for a while. 'And what can be learned, can be learned' – Chidera Eggerue.
But it is not about being self-taught. Truly, the reason why I created this site to encourage closet creatives to be creative, because along with persistence and the confidence with being good at something, it does the work of a therapist or a healer. The creative act allows you to deal and process your neuroses and improves your mental health and stability. You also face the most terrifying of all prospects - what to do with your own self when alone. Then there's nothing to worry about.
"Know thyself." – Socrates
